Another BBQ

in the midst of all the work, read: 3 presentations (1 is individual!!!), 1 assignment, 2 reports... and a surprise one anytime.... i have to make time for a BBQ cum gathering with family.... it was er.... dark... haha... as in the lights weren't working despite many attempts to fix it.. haha.... so we bbq in the dark and eat by the pit, bec there's the only light... hahaha.... some luck huh? the last time, it rained so the bbq was transfer to my house.... yup, i mean the bbq pit was just outside my door... er.. you guys do know that i stay in a HDB flat rite? haha...
anyway, it was a nice time.... miss my childhood.....

hm.... i dun mean that im old, just that its been sometime since i have lots of fun

Art and Flippancy

watch The Forbidden City - A Portrait of an Empress yesterday night and the esplanade... the most impt point here is, IT IS WORTH IT!, ok.. so much for making an impact... hahah.... Kit Chan was good... but i think the 2 causasian singer-performer are better.. the guy especially. Anyway, the story is just sad.... all the guys (other than the clowns) are the bad guys... and the gals... are the victims... man... doesnt that feel empowering... haiz.... is that the lot of us, ladies? oh well, its coming to an end ( i mean the musical)... it was the highlight of my week so far... okay... more like for some time le... hahaha

flippancy is naming the things i see on my table... here it goes: 2 diff kinds moisturizer, 1 empty water bottle, 1 half empty water bottle, notes- loose, stapled, in files, all sorts of books- non-fiction and fiction, wallets, printer, laptop, 4 diff kinds of adaptors, CDs for games and installations of software, box of tissue paper, boxes containing god noes what, small bags of cosmatics and skincare, 2 brushes, i comb, more empty boxes... er, theres more la, but too sian of writing... haha.. is there a purpose for all these? of course NOT... duh....

i love the rain in all its temperance

its raining cats and dogs here... hm... maybe just the dogs... most of the cats are murdered dun cha noe? and y i love this rain? bec i beat it! haha.... came home just in time to watch its beautiful appearance! love the wind's accompaniment at the introduction.... and then the grand entrance of the rain.... im sure singapore's weather is mild by comparision to others.... but for some1 who loves rain as much as me.... its just plain fine....
oh, guess where i rush home from??? SMU! haha... so, today marks the first day im in school on Sunday(this term) .... and here's to more to come, cheers (this is definately a sacastic remark!) oh well, im getting used to it... oh ya, im comfirmed watching Forbidden City.. bought the tickets! ouch... cost me $52, i hope its worth it!

in my news... (another way to spell Updates...)

this sem im doing a course on Philosophy of Religion... (v stupid of me to take this!) and other then massive loads of reading, did i mention that they are very very deep.... i get to confuse myself every tues morning.... geeh... wat a nice way to start my week... so how do u start your week anyway?
heres how i start, study and appreciation of the Summa Theological and Conta Gentiles by Thomas Aquinas, and dialogues byDavid Hume on Natural Religion.... ( if u dun noe these outstanding pple, dun worry, you are in a big, and i mean BIG group of pple). Basically, i study their arguments for existance of a God and their attempts at 'fleshing out' wat God is... i wont bore you with the details... haha...

my other courses have having presentations soon... i have 2 due on week 6... thats 2 weeks away (for anyone who doesnt go by academic years) And i havent met up with anyone for project meetings!!!! shucks!

in other news:
i had fun watching The Devil wears Prada, cant say the same for my bf.... haha, sorry but thanks for accompanying me, hon. the movie triggered the shopping impulse in me to come alive though (not a v good thing, seeing my v much flatten pocket)
the IMF-WB delegates have arrived in our little island.... and so, i have to put up with "Channel 5 welcomes the delegates for IMF-WB to Singapore, yada yada" on TV... gosh, doesnt it get on your nerves? i do wish them to enjoy their stay here of course, just maybe without so much fanfare.... well, on the up note, i do appreciate the flowers that are just planted around my school.... hope they are to stay... but i do wonder about their cost....hm....

Frustrations

another sch term has started, and is it any wonder that my title reads as above? i am still unwilling to relinquish my freedom and peace to the pursuit of a high GPA - a proces of reading numerous articles and expensive texts, going to classes that are boring and unproductive (truely, some are so valueless that i feel as i must be paid to attend them), meeting up with classmates to doing projects at all and any timing... and cramming when the big dates arrive....
this year is different is some ways, and i wonder how it will change the gameplay for me.... we just have to wait and see eh? already, i've discovered that i have lose a stress reliefer, but i had hopes that he will still be my helpmate.... as i will be his, if he needs me that is...
