hm... the last visit to the WL Regional Lib i had an encounter wif a visiting professor to one of our local university (not mine). At first glance i tot he was genuinely unaware of how the books in the lib are shelved, he asked if they go by title and i being a helpful gal told him tat it is by the author's name (roll eyes). And that was the end of the story... NOT!
he cont by introducing himself, so i did the same... its only polite to do it eh? then he mention he just arrived and we made small talk.. blah blah... then he say he is teaching pyschology and ask me to tell him a little about myself... like wat i like to improve on.. blah blah, in my life, relationship etc... well i say there is a lot i can improve on (being humble ya noe? hahaha) anyway by this time i was getting irritated bec he is preventing me from getting hold of my books and making a quick exit.... but i cont to let him lead me in the conversation...
Then he asked if im attached... and i say yes... and he ask if i noe my bf well, wants to noe him (bf) better? am i curious about him (bf)? AM I CURIOUS??? huh??? im stumped and feeling a little awkward... i said i noe my bf well and am not curious... i noe him well wat... then he ask if at this pt im still looking for other boy friends.., ok im confuse by that time... i say im ok with meeting more guys as friends but well thats a bigger circle of platonic frens which i do have... but im not lookin for more 'catches' at the moment... (duh).. He clarify by repeating ' so you are reserved all for your bf only', to that i say yup... He ask wat if i look into the future and wat if im hurt.. ( yihui u better not hurt me, else....) okok so i say well if i am i just have to live wif it.. life is not a smooth path all the time eh? He gave an unbelievable kind of look and well.. gesturing with his hp in one hand made some comments about the diff thinking of pple in our societies... i took the opportunity to make send him on his way to the non-fiction section and gave a sigh of relief as i go back to hunting for my books....
